Your Privacy is important to us and Georges River Council manages privacy and personal information in accordance with Australian legislation and rules, including the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act).  The PPIP Act deals with how, as a public sector agency, Council must manage personal information that it collects and holds as a result of its activities.

The PPIP Act does not generally permit the disclosure of information held by an agency, to another person. If access to information that relates to someone else is sought, the application must be made under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
