Spark Sydney South

The Sydney startup ecosystem is thriving, and the recent Spark Sydney South showcased the dynamic and innovative spirit of this connected community.

Held at the iconic Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, this event marked a significant milestone for Sydney South, bringing together innovators, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders for an evening of inspiration and connection.

Organised by Spark Festival in collaboration with Georges River Council and ANSTO, Spark Sydney South was a groundbreaking event, showcasing the dynamic spirit and potential of the local startup scene. It was a proud moment for many, especially for those who have seen the region grow and evolve over the years.

One of the event’s highlights was a keynote speech by Maria MacNamara, founder of the Space Industry Association of Australia. Maria shared her remarkable journey and underscored the omnipresence of space-related industries in our daily lives. Her passion and insights resonated with many attendees, emphasising the limitless possibilities within the space sector.

The panel discussion was equally compelling, featuring Emma Earley from Remarkable Tech, Carol Azzam Mackay from the Nandin Innovation Centre, and Nick Karahlis from Compass IoT. There was a strong message that founders come from all walks of life, at any stage of life. It was a powerful reminder of the inclusivity and potential within the ecosystem.
